Lovense Solace Pro, a black stroker on a silver control unit, lit by a blue charging ring

Lovense Solace Pro review: the stroker that watches along with you

Most smart strokers can follow a video, but only if someone has written a script for it first. The Lovense Solace Pro doesn’t wait for one. Its AI reads whatever is playing on your screen and moves with it in real time. That one feature, plus a 14-hour battery and a desk mount, is why it tops our 2026 ranking of AI sex toys for men.

Our verdict

  • Score: 8.6 out of 10, and number one in our 2026 ranking.
  • Best for: anyone who wants hands-free play that follows any video, not just scripted ones.
  • Watch out for: AI Sync is still hit-or-miss, the machine is fairly loud, and the stock sleeve is merely good.

What is the Lovense Solace Pro?

The Solace Pro is an automatic thrusting stroker from Lovense, one of the oldest names in connected sex toys. A motor moves the sleeve back and forth for you, at up to 300 strokes a minute. You can hold it, but it is designed to sit in a clamp-on desk mount that tilts through 180°, so both your hands are free.

It is controlled from your phone or computer. The Lovense Remote app handles manual control and long-distance play, and the VibeMate app handles video sync, including the AI Sync feature that sets it apart.

How Lovense AI Sync works

Video sync normally depends on a script: a file someone has made by hand that tells the toy how to move, second by second. If nobody has scripted a video, the toy can’t follow it. AI Sync removes that step.

When you play a video or a livestream, VibeMate watches the screen, recognizes the movement in it and sends matching thrusts to the Solace Pro as it happens. Lovense describes the flow as watch, AI detect, interact. There is no script to find and nothing to download, and Lovense says all its toys support it.

It is not magic yet. Lovense itself says it works best with clearly framed scenes in a handful of common positions. VICE’s tester found it uneven: “Sometimes it was spot on. Other times it moved at random.” Treat it as an impressive bonus that is still improving, not as a replacement for a well-made script.

What’s in the box

The Solace Pro comes with its sleeve, a USB charging cable, a manual and the parts for the desk clamp. Everything you need to set it up hands-free is included, so there is nothing extra to buy on day one.

The sleeve and cleaning

The sleeve is made of TPE, a soft, stretchy material that is common in strokers. It is comfortable, but it does not last as long as silicone, and VICE called the stock sleeve “good, but not thrilling”.

Cleaning is simple. Twist the sleeve off, wash it with warm water and soap, rinse it and let it drip-dry. Keep the main body dry: it is splash-resistant, not waterproof. Lovense buyers rate it 4.7 out of 5 for being easy to clean.

What independent testers say

VICE tested the Solace Pro in October 2026 and called it one of the best hands-free strokers the writer had tried. The criticisms were specific: AI Sync is hit-or-miss, the stock sleeve is unexciting, it would not connect to the VR site SexLikeReal, and it is fairly loud.

T3 covered the launch, at a recommended price of £338 or $398, and GadgetMatch published a hands-on review.

What buyers say

On Lovense’s own store, the Solace Pro averages 4.8 out of 5 from 186 reviews. Buyers give it 5.0 for stroke length, 4.7 for ease of cleaning and 4.8 for orgasm rating. The praise centers on how genuinely hands-free it is and on long-distance play with a partner.

Lovense as a brand scores 3.9 out of 5 from 2,399 reviews on Trustpilot, with 67% five-star and 14% one-star ratings. The complaints there are about toys failing after some time and slow refunds, which is worth knowing before you buy any connected toy.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • The only stroker we rate with AI video sync built in
  • Up to 14 hours of battery, far ahead of its rivals
  • Truly hands-free on the 180° desk mount
  • Fine stroke-length control, in 0.65 mm steps

What we don't

  • AI Sync still misreads some scenes
  • Fairly loud at full speed
  • The stock TPE sleeve is merely good
  • The brand’s support record is mixed

How it compares

Against The Handy 2 Pro, the Solace Pro trades stroke length for intelligence. The Handy’s stroke reaches 125 mm and it has the bigger library of scripted videos and an open API, but it has no AI of its own. The Solace Pro’s battery also lasts far longer: up to 14 hours against about five.

Against the Kiiroo Keon 2, it is slower: 300 strokes a minute against 451. The Keon 2 can follow videos too, through Kiiroo’s FeelMe AI, but that is a subscription after the first free month, and the Keon 2 is still a pre-order. The Solace Pro has AI Sync included and ships now.

Who should buy it?

Buy the Solace Pro if you want the most advanced hands-free experience available today, and you like the idea of a toy that can follow anything you watch. It is also the easiest pick for long sessions, thanks to the battery.

Look elsewhere if silence matters, if you mainly use scripted VR content, or if you want the longest possible stroke. In those cases the Handy 2 Pro is the better fit. You can compare every stroker we rate side by side.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Lovense Solace Pro work without the AI?

Yes. You can control it yourself from the Lovense Remote app, or let a partner control it over long distance. AI Sync is an extra, not a requirement.

Is it worth it at the sale price?

At $199 on sale, it costs less than the $299 Handy 2 and the $249 Kiiroo Keon 2, while offering the longest battery life and built-in AI Sync. At its $399 list price it is a much harder sell, so it is worth waiting for a discount.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 14 hours of use on a full charge, according to Lovense. Charging takes about 135 minutes over USB-C.

Is the Solace Pro loud?

It is not silent. Lovense lists a maximum of 63 dB, and VICE’s tester found it fairly loud. Keep that in mind if you share walls.

How do I clean it?

Twist the sleeve off, wash it with warm water and soap, rinse and let it drip-dry. Keep the main body away from water: it is rated IPX4, which means splash-resistant only.
